Cominciamo

Before you begin reading this eclectic amalgam of blog posts, please allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I was born in the United States. However, when I was four years old, my family and I moved to Eastern Europe. I have lived in a total of four different countries in the past two decades, which entails four diverse cultures. Along with living in four different countries, I have also had the opportunity, due to the proximity of countries in Eastern Europe, to visit over twenty countries and personally experience the cultures of over a dozen of them. Visiting these different worlds has kindled a deep desire within me to travel, not merely for the sake of taking a few snapshots of historical monuments and checking off a place on a bucket list, but also to experience life in another culture. I love to appreciate the history of each place I visit, taste some authentic native cuisine, meet the people, and capture those special moments in photographs. It has been a truth proved over and over again in my travels that the best memories come from those moments in which you step off the beaten path.
